The archipelago today has a high rate of ultraviolet radiation, and therefore is recommended to avoid possible exposure to the sun, warns the Institute of Meteorology (IM) on its website.
The islands of Madeira and Porto Santo in the Madeira archipelago, now have extreme high levels of ultraviolet radiation exposure, and is recommended by the IM to stay at home.
