The exercise will begin with the start of the ‘Lobo Marinho’, which will simulate a wrecked ship, and a fire on board will be detected outside the Port of Funchal, which will be out of control. The commander shall order the evacuation of the ship.
After receiving the alarm, the Captain of the Port of Funchal and the Director of the MRSC Funchal will activate all the salvage means available from the various civil protection agents involved, the ‘sea / land’ interface being installed in the new Marina of Funchal Harbor responsibility of the SRPC IP-RAM.
After the survivors arrive at the port , the medical teams will carry out the respective screening and evacuate to the hospital unit, which are considered most urgent.
The air force of the Portuguese Air Force, headquartered in Porto Santo, will also participate in the evacuation by air of the victims who, due to their seriousness, are not advised to evacuate by sea.
