A little information below from Angie, and link to her website.
Whilst living in Denmark I applied to “The Society of Botanical Artists” (SBA) for their “Distance Learning Diploma” and successfully completed the course in 2009 passing with distinction.
Over the years I have attended various short courses with tutors such as; Mariella Baldwin, Anne Marie Evans, Sandrine Maugy, Siriol Sherlock, Jenny Jowett, Fiona Strickland, Simon Williams, Rosie Sanders and Martin Allen. All of which have been really inspiring.
In 2009 I moved to Madeira with its abundant variety of plants and incredibly beautiful, natural world. This has made it possible for me to paint a vast number of vibrant and exotic plants, growing all over the island.
I was awarded Associate membership by The SBA in 2011.
In November 2011, I was invited by the famous “Reid’s Hotel” in Funchal to give a private presentation of my paintings to guests by invitation only.
My paintings have been exhibited in:
The SBA London exhibition 2009, 2011, 2012, 2013 & 2014.
The Palmengarten Botanical Exhibition, Frankfurt, Germany in 2012 & 2014.
In May 2014 I was awarded full membership by The SBA
Paintings and prints of my work can be found hanging in Italy, Holland, Madeira, Scandinavia and the UK.
