The deputy chief of the Municipal Fire Funchal (BMF), José Mine, warned today to the fact that the Madeira does not have a fire alarm system or disasters warning, but a weather warning system is in place.

José Mine did this repair in the Legislative Assembly of Madeira, in the parliamentary hearing on “Natural Disasters and Fire”, required by the PSD and this morning was attended by representatives of fire brigades from Funchal (volunteers and municipal) and Calheta.

“We do not have a warning system in the Autonomous Region of Madeira, we have a weather warning system, but the weather warnings or Civil Protection type warning intended for the civilian population, are not intended to officers of the Civil Protection” He explained José Mine.
