After their big debut in Finale Ligure, the two racing brothers, Bernd and Sascha teamed up in Madeira to hunt the coolest trails. One of them is Patrica in Ponta do Pargo. Starting with a rough and rocky single track, downwards the track becomes more and more flowy and faster. Brakes wide open and jump everything is the motto here!
Since a while Madeira isn’t an insider’s tip anymore, after the Enduro World Series next month, the beautiful ‘Flower Island’ in the Atlantic Ocean will be on everyone’s lips. In contrast to the Canary Islands, Madeira offers a wide variety of landscapes and trails. You have the choice between technical jungle trails, habitual singletracks in typical foliage and coniferous forests, rocky terrain or bikepark-like tracks winding over partly burned land.
The two Bat Bros have found a special favorite in Patrica, a track that starts at 1200m altitude and winds down to the beautiful village of Ponta do Pargo at 500m.
The track is left largely natural, with bumps and compressions used to build flowy jumps. Even a cattle fence or a levada (water channel) did not stop the builders – lip in front, landing behind and the jump is ready to go!
