Funchal News witnessed, at the end of this Sunday night, an unusual scenario for the locals of Madeira to contemplate. The Caju Building, located on the emblematic Rua da Carreira and Rua do Surdo, was lit at night, with different colours, as if it were a mini “Eiffel Tower”.
The building, with this luminous design, makes the difference in an urban artery that is dark, silent and quiet. The new luminosity lends to the property, a certain liveliness and colour, not usual in the urban layout.
The property is owned by Luso-Venezuelan emigrants, as has already been reported in the Funchal News. For this space is projected to be a city hotel, named after its history and expected to open next year. The whole façade was preserved, maintaining its original layout.
