Three districts of the continent and the archipelago of Madeira are today and Tuesday under ‘yellow warning’ due to the hot weather forecast, informed the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA).
According to the Institute, the districts of Setúbal, Santarém and Lisboa will be, between 6:00 am today and 9:00 pm on Tuesday, under ‘yellow warning’ due to the persistence of high values of maximum temperature.
In Lisbon it is predicted a maximum temperature of 34 degrees Celsius, in Setúbal 36 and Santarém 37.
Also the Madeira archipelago will be under ‘yellow warning’ today due to the hot weather forecast between 06:00 today and 21:00 Tuesday.
In Funchal, temperatures will range between 22 and 28 degrees Celsius.
The yellow warning, is issued by the IPMA whenever there is a risk for certain activities depending on the weather situation.
