The Câmara de Lobos Volunteer Firefighters were alerted last night to a fire that broke out in bush zone, at Pico da Cruz, in Quinta Grande. For the place were mobilised three elements of this corporation, at 9 pm, who were fighting the flames for two hours. It is known that this fire consumed about 400 square meters of forest.
With hardly any rain still since last May, everywhere is still very dry, and still fires are popping up everywhere. They say we might get some showers today, but it wont be much if we do, and temperatures are still in the 20s, making it very mild for this time of year, and people still sitting out in bars and restaurants at night.
