One tourist, of English nationality, fell this afternoon when she was on a pedestrian route at Levada do Alecrim, in Rabaçal.
The 70-year-old woman had apparently minor injuries, including a few bruises on her body and a cut on her scalp, but she was aware and oriented.
The alert of this accident was given to the Volunteer Firefighters of Calheta, at 1.40 p.m. 14 people were involved in the rescue of the victim and after administering the first dressing, was transported on a stretcher to the ambulance that was about 45 minutes from the main road.
The Rapid Intervention Medical Team (EMIR) was also activated and went to the ambulance and accompanied the victim to the Emergency Department of Dr. Nélio Mendonça Hospital.
