Madeira Airport reaches today, December 20th, 3 million passengers só for this year.
To commemorate the anniversary, there will be a ceremony in the public arrivals area, on floor 0, at 5:00 p.m.
An event that will be attended by several entities, including the president of the Regional Government of Madeira, Miguel Albuquerque, and the CEO of ANA Aeroportos de Portugal, Carlos Lacerda.
There is a video on this link.
Not really sure why this needs to be celebrated, and a ceremony held, perhaps Albuquerque should look at all the problems the airport has had this year, and discuss a solution, or there could well be less people travelling to Madeira next year.
