It is not yet the case that the Regional Government solved the controversial issue of the ferry coming to Madeira. As happened last year, the Executive decided to give more time (30 days) to satisfy the request of a company potentially interested.
Thus, the Governing Council today authorised the extension of the deadline for submitting proposals, for a period of 30 days, of the tender procedure in the form of public tender, with international publicity, for the concession of regular maritime transport by ferry between Madeira and the Continent.
This resolution will be published in the official EU newspaper and in the Diário da República.
It looks like after all this time, no one is interested in the tender for the Ferry, or is it the fact the Government are making it impossible for this to run as a business????
