According to the Volunteer Fire-fighters of Câmara de Lobos, the road will again be passable once the cleaning team of the locality cleans, a goal that should be completed soon.

Due to the intense rains and the strong wind that has been felt in the last hours, there was a landslide, rocks and trees in a section of Regional Road 102, more precisely in the section between the Ribeiro Serrão site in Camacha and the Ribeira do Porto Novo. At this moment the employees of the Regional Road Administration have already been mobilised to the place, and the cleaning work should begin as soon as possible. From DN

Just a quick update from the airport.

The two Condor flights, both coming from Germany, which had been diverted to Tenerife and Las Palmas, Canary Islands, due to bad weather on approaching Madeira International Airport yesterday, had an inglorious return this morning to Madeira.  It is that once again the two aircraft were prevented from landing at Madeira because of bad weather, having this time been diverted to Porto Santo.

Swiftair’s cargo plane to Funchal, turned around when flying over Porto Santo, returning to Lisbon.

Easyjet Porto flight is just returning to Porto after not being able to land.

As said in the previous post, Easyjet Gatwick cancelled and will come tomorrow morning.

EasyJet’s connection from Lisbon this morning did not take off and was rescheduled towards the end of the night. Also the arrival of the airplane of Germania, scheduled for the beginning of the afternoon, was delayed until the beginning of the night.

The same applies to the inter-island connection of Aerovip, rescheduled for the afternoon. This plane was also the last to be able to land in Santa Cruz, yesterday, at the end of the afternoon (18h36)

Today, according to ANA information, nine flights have already been cancelled, between arrivals and departures.
