They continue this morning the search for the British Tourist who was dragged by a wave into the sea at Praia Formosa. The search began today only with the ocean patrol Figueira da Foz. The boat and the helicopter did not leave due to the poor visibility.
At the site is the Commander of the Port of Funchal, Paulo Silva Ribeiro, to control operations. The teams were reinforced with elements from the Madeiran Volunteer Firefighters, SANAS from the Frente Mar and the Maritime Police.
The body of the man may be trapped in the seabed, adding that, if that is the case, the body may not be rescued, and if he does not come to the surface, he can remain on the ocean floor forever.
Yesterday, about 70 square km, between Caniço de Baixo and Câmara de Lobos were searched for the missing man.
