The weather forecasts are rainy and thundery for the next few days, both on the mainland and Madeira, increasing in intensity, especially on Friday, with winds that can reach 90 kilometres / hour and in the highlands up to 110 kilometres / hour, according to a statement from the IPMA (Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere).

Since last week the region has been hit by rain and strong winds, as well as strong seas, and it is not yet over for the next few days, then from Saturday the weather is expected to significantly improve, with a rise in temperatures.

Rainy or heavy showers, more intense and frequent from mid-afternoon. Low to moderate winds (10 to 30 km) from the southwest, becoming moderate to strong (30 to 45 km ), with gusts 70 km, from mid-afternoon. In the highlands, the wind will be moderate to strong (30 to 40 km / h) from the west, rising to strong (40 to 55 km) from the southwest, with bursts up to 90 km from the afternoon.
