Three women were transported to the Emergency Department of Dr. Nélio Mendonça Hospital today, following falls in Funchal.
The first took place at 11:45 am on Avenida da Madalena. The 83-year-old victim fell on the public road and was rescued on the spot by the Volunteer Fire-fighters of Funchal, as she had a bruise on her scalp.
At 2:30 p.m. the same fire brigade was alerted to another fall, this time in the Port of Funchal. The victim was a passenger on a cruise ship, she suffered bruises on the face.
Finally, the Fire-fighters of Funchal moved to Beco da Amoreira to assist a 76-year-old foreigner who fell and suspected a fractured collarbone.
