The ‘Volcan de Tijarafe’, a ship known by the people of Madeira, is the ferry chosen by Grupo Sousa to make trips to the mainland. The headline news in this Thursday’s issue of the DN reveals that the Madeirense Shipping Company chartered the last vessel to make trips on the Funchal-Portimão line in 2012. The DN also reveals that the first departure from Madeira is marked for July 2, that the round trip will cost 58 euros to the residents (students pay only 51 euros) and that the ferry will also ensure connections to the Canary Islands.
