Albuquerque says he had no idea about the bust change at the airport, why would he, he is only the president…
The replacement of Cristiano Ronaldo’s bust from Madeira Airport was requested by the Aveiro family through the CR7 Museum. The statement is made by Duarte Ferreira, director of Madeira Airport – Cristiano Ronaldo, the same one who, in the morning, told Diário and TSF not to be aware of this substitution and that he would try to find out what would have happened.
Recently, DN returned to contact Duarte Ferreira who revealed that this was a request from the museum and that “the change happened on Thursday night to Friday”.
“The museum [CR7] asked us to replace and put this bust in honor of the athlete and we thought we should change, but in any case we have the old one saved,” he said, adding that, at this moment, he still does not know what will be made to the bust of the authorship of Emanuel Santos.
Duarte Ferreira did not comment on the fact that the Madeiran sculptor was not informed of this substitution and was “saddened by this whole situation, this after having at first been laughed at by the world that the bust was not similar to the best player in the world.
Regarding the criticisms that have arisen around this controversial substitution, mainly in the social networks and, even, in the Airport of the Madeira, only said that “the people have right to have their opinion”.
