The Spanish company Binter Canarias SA begins the air connections to Porto Santo next Tuesday, 5, with two daily flights in each direction and with prices for round trip in the same first day from 137.5 euros for non-residents, with taxes and other charges included, and 72.5 euros for residents. The students of Porto Santo have a special rate with prices of 29 euros, plus the 32.5 euros fee and 1 euro of emission charges. The travel reservation for this destination is already available on the website.
The public service concession contract for the airline between the two islands of the archipelago is signed today in Lisbon between the company’s administration and the Government of the Republic. It results from the international public tender launched in October last year for a period of three years, with an approximate value of 5.6 million euros.
There are two daily flights in each direction. The first flight in the morning is at 7 o’clock, leaving Madeira for Porto Santo, from where it leaves at 8 o’clock to Madeira. In the afternoon, the plane departs again from the Madeira International Airport to the golden island at 5:00 p.m, with the return scheduled for 6:00 p.m. The journey between the two islands lasts between 15 and 20 minutes.
