Lynda and Mal Davies are currently visiting Madeira for the 53rd time. Lynda is from Liverpool and Mal from St. Dogmaels in West Wales. They have lived in Bournville, Birmingham, since 1978.
They started coming to Madeira in 1995, staying at the Madeira Beach Club (MBC), attached to Pestana Carlton Hotel. They owned timeshares in Spain and Fuerteventura, but the location and, as they both swim a lot, the sea access at MBC were what attracted them most. They soon bought two weeks at MBC and got rid of their other timeshares. Through them many of their friends have started coming to the island, buying timeshare with Pestana.
Over the years they bought more with Pestana including Christmas off-plan at the Promenade. Now they are in Madeira for 19 weeks this year : four in each of April, July/August and October, and seven at the best time of year in their opinion in December/January.
Having completed more than 50 visits to Madeira, a presentation was made to them at the Tourism Board.
