This Friday we will be able to see the longest lunar eclipse of the century.
Although the eclipse is total, the moon will not be hidden … The lunar phenomenon, this time, will present the moon with a red color. In addition, on this day Mars will be brighter than it has ever been since 2003.
Speaking to JM, Fernando Góis, president of the Madeira Astronomy Association, indicates that the moon will be born in the shade at around 9 pm. 20 minutes later the eclipse will reach its fullness.
This phenomenon can be seen all over the island of Madeira, as long as the sky is clear. However, as is normal, it will be in the mountain areas that there will be better visibility.
The lunar eclipse will last for about an hour, and the moon will begin to glow about 23:15.
