A rare species of sea turtle gave today to the coast, presenting diverse wounds.
Thomas Dellinger, a biologist, went to the Madeira Veterinary Hospital, which, graciously, is now trying to save the animal.
According to Thomas Dellinger, who teaches at the University of Madeira, it is a turtle with the scientific name ‘Eretmochelys Imbricata’. In about two decades, this is only the third time he has been able to observe a turtle of the genus.
The Veterinary Hospital of Madeira is trying to stabilise the animal, making the necessary treatments to return it later to the sea.
