The Port Authority of Funchal reported Saturday that it has carried out two rescue operations in the seas of the Madeira, more precisely on the coast.

One of the cases involved a father and two children  9 and 14 years old who were adrift in an inflatable boat, having been rescued off the  beach of Garajau by 7:10 pm and disembarked at the Funchal marina at 7:45 pm.

The other case involved two German swimmers who ventured into the sea by the Reis Magos beach, having been swept out by the sea current, at the same time as the first ones were rescued the tourists were  rescued from the sea and safely, and back on the beach at 7:10 pm.
