From next Monday, August 13, road traffic in part of Rua Dr. Fernão de Ornelas in Funchal, will be banned until the end of November.
The interruption comes as part of the planned urban redevelopment project for Rua Fernão de Ornelas, Largo do Phelps and Parque do Rua do Carmo.
At this stage, the basic sanitation and paving networks will be replaced, with road traffic being prohibited in the section between Rua do Visconde de Anadia and Rua do Ribeirinho de Baixo, at least until November 30.
During this interruption, road traffic on Rua Dr. Fernão de Ornelas between Largo do Phelps and Rua do Ribeirinho de Baixo is prohibited, except for vehicles that intend to carry out loading and unloading operations or access the Center’s parking lot Comercial Anadia, in the sense of current circulation.
At the same time, the project will lead to changes in the direction of the car traffic in Rua do Seminário, which will operate in a downward direction with entry from Rua do Carmo.
The Rua do Ribeirinho de Baixo will run upwards with exit at Rua do Carmo.
