Some great news to bring you. Let’s hope they continue spending money and get the rest open. Then Encumeada and Madelena do Mar.
The Porto Moniz Chamber reopened today four sections of Regional Road 101 that were impassable due to security issues. These routes are located in Lugar, two in Fajã Manuel and one that connects the Bridge of Ribeira da Janela to the camping site.
A sum has been spent of about 70 thousand euros on the cleaning and arrangement of these roads, a total of 4.5 thousand meters.
The road sections in question are closed during the night for safety, with traffic signs appealing to motorists to take precautions.
The Veil of the Bride road will not be reopened, since it would involve a lot of work. However, Emanuel Câmara has no idea of the amount.
The municipality says that daily monitoring of the roads will take place and should stay open throughout the year.
