It looks like the next few days are going to be pretty unsettled, and I expect this warning to be extended throughout Monday into Tuesday.
The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA) placed a yellow warning on the island of Madeira and Porto Santo under yellow warning due to rain or heavy downpours accompanied by thunderstorms, starting at 21 o’clock tomorrow (7 October and until 9 am on Monday (8 October).
The IPMA forecasts for the Madeira archipelago today indicate periods of overcast skies, especially high clouds, and weak to moderate winds (up to 30 km / h) from the eastern quadrant.
Regarding the state of the sea, on the North coast are expected north-westerly waves with 1 to 1,5 meters, passing to waves of northwest. On the south coast, southwestern waves less than 1 meter.
The temperature of the sea water will be around 23ºC.
