The reading of the judgement of the case concerning a physical trainer accused of stabbing his former partner until her death in April 2017 is scheduled for Wednesday at the Court of the Central Instance of the Region of Madeira.

The 44-year-old defendant is responsible for qualified homicide and domestic violence over his former partner, who was deputy director of Loja do Cidadão in Funchal, and also for the crime of resistance and coercion over an employee [a PSP agent].

The crime occurred on dawn on April 15, 2017, at the victim’s home in the Funchal Forum area, after the two had a clash last night in the Old Town of Funchal.

The accusation includes complaints made by the victim [Ilídia Macedo] in the Public Security Police (PSP) and the Public Prosecutor’s Office (MP) two weeks before the crime because the defendant “did not comply” because it ended the relationship they had between 2014 and 2017.
