The astronomy group of the University of Madeira, with the support of the Association of Astronomers Amateurs of Madeira, is organising from Monday to November 23rd, the XVIII Astronomy Week.
During the course of this week there will be lectures or sessions of sun-watching in Gonçalves Zarco schools, Bishop D. Manuel Ferreira Cabral and Dr. Ângelo Augusto da Silva.
On the last day of the event, November 23rd a lecture on ‘Madeira, 600 light-years!’ Will be held at the Campus da Penteada from 8:00 p.m., followed by a night observation session on the terrace. Both initiatives are open to the general public and free of charge, requiring no prior registration.
