The Port Authority of Funchal has just sent a statement to the editors with a bad weather warning (signal 6) for the Madeira archipelago, using the latest data released by the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) at 6:09 p.m. .
This warning of bad weather adds an alert for strong wind (signal 7), with the force of the same to be able to go from 51 to 62 kilometers per hour, from any direction.
As for the sea turmoil, the warning is yellow for the North Coast and Porto Santo, with the waves to reach the five meters, until 18 hours of Thursday.
Concerning the precipitation in the Mountain Regions, the warning is also yellow, with periods of rain and showers, sometimes strong, until 3 o’clock this Thursday morning.
“It is recommended that the owners or shipowners of the vessels take the necessary precautions so that they remain in the ports of shelter,” announces the Captaincy.
There could well be some problems at the airport, esoe ually during the morning, with the strong gusty winds forecast.
The weather will remain unsettled, and Saturday is another day to keep an eye on with forecast rain and thunder as well as strong winds.
