A delay in the transfer of funds by the Regional Secretary of Education is causing the bar of Francisco Franco Secondary School to have almost no food to make available to students, teachers and staff.

A “had never happened” situation, according to JM, the president of the Executive Council of this institution, Antonio Pires, who confirmed that the bar is without basic products like cheese and even snacks they used to offer, like pregos.

“We had a stock of products that is ending and the school can not buy anything without having received the money from the Government,” he said.

The official also informed the Jornal Madeira that they are in close contact with the Regional Education Department, which is aware of whats happened, and that they wait until this problem is solved “as soon as possible”.
