Emirates Airline will launch a new flight between Porto and Dubai (United Arab Emirates) next July 2 with four times a week operation for a Boeing 777-300 ER, the company announced today.
In a press release, Emirates, considered the leading airline of the United Arab Emirates, announces a new flight between Dubai and Porto that will be operated on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, departing from Dubai at 09:15 arriving at Oporto at 2:30 p.m.
The return flight departs from Porto at 5:35 p.m. and lands in Dubai at 04:15 the following morning, a time that according to Emirates, will allow passengers “easier and more convenient connections to flights (…) to the most sought destinations like Luanda, Johannesburg, Bangkok, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Melbourne and Sydney, among others, “the statement said.
Emirates Airline President Tim Clark says that Porto is currently enjoying higher levels of tourism, which is reflected in the growth in the number of visitors to Portugal as a whole.
“The introduction of this new flight, together with our two daily flights service to Lisbon, will help meet this growing demand for both leisure and business travelers, as well as provide them with more options, greater flexibility and connectivity while traveling for Portugal, “adds Tim Clark.
With this new flight, Emirates Airline passengers from Northern Portugal will have direct access to Emirates’ global network through Dubai, and Porto becomes the second destination of that company in Portugal, after Lisbon, where currently flies with two daily services.
The new flight will be operated by a Boeing 777-300ER, in a three-class configuration, offering eight first-class private suites, 42 executive-class reclining seats and 310 economy-class seats.
Emirates was founded in 1985 with two aircraft and currently flies to 158 destinations in 86 countries on six continents.
