Firefighters from Calheta were called to a fire at the Rocha Mar restaurant.
A tribute to the young woman who died last Saturday following the collapse in Calheta caused a small fire in the Rocha Mar restaurant.
Apparently, the flames were caused by the candles that were placed in the place where the young natural cook from Ponta do Pargo died.
Last goodbye to Carina Marlene will be held Wednesday.
D. Nuno Brás, new bishop of Funchal, makes a point of attending the funeral of the young Carina Marlene who died last Saturday following a collapse in Calheta.
The ceremony will take place at 3:00 pm in the Church of Amparo, in the parish of Ponta do Pargo.
The funeral procession will leave the mortuary chapel of Dr. Nélio Mendonça Hospital, at 1:30 p.m., towards the Parish Church of Amparo, where a mass of the present body will be celebrated in a ceremony attended by the maximum representative of the Catholic Church in Madeira. The funeral then proceeds to the cemetery of the parish of Ponta do Pargo.
The family “thanks in advance to all the people who wish to accompany the funeral or who in any way expressed their regret.
They also ask that whoever wishes to pay homage to his loved one, take a piece of white clothing.
