I have two tours planed in March with Pearl of the Atlantic.

March 12th we will visit Curral das Freiras (Nuns Valley). We will stop at a couple of view points on the way and of course a Poncha coffee stop, which my tours seem to be well known for now… We will then arrive at Eira do Serrado up above the nuns valley, those who wish to we will walk the old pathway down to Curral, this was the only access in and out of the valley before a road was built in the late 50s. The walk is about 45-60 mins all downhill. Those who wish not to do the walk can grab a coffee at the snack bar in Eira do Serrado, and admire the views, then Duarte will drive you down to meet the rest of us.

Then we will drive up into the valley to a view point and a couple of very local bars, before our return to Funchal and Garajau The price is 17.50 each. Please bring a packed lunch which we will eat somewhere during the day. Pick up from Cristo Rei Garajau at 9.30am and Funchal Cable Car at 10am.

March 30th another exciting tour to a place where many of you would not have visited. We will be visiting Espigao, another very remote place on the island, looking down on the valley of Serra Agua.

We will have a couple of stops on the way, a new view point in Quinta Grande, and the usual Poncha Coffee stop.

There will be a shortish walk to the view point in Espigao, as the bus is to big to get to this area, those that wish to stay with the bus can and see the views.

We will then head to a special place to have lunch, please bring a packed lunch. The price of this tour is going to be 20 euros, this will include a tip for using the place for lunch, and I will also bring some homemade Poncha and Lemonade for us to try.

Pick ups will again be Cristo Rei at 9.30 and Funchal Cable car at 10am
