A man in his 60s, an Englishman, entered this morning in a cardiac arrest at a hotel in Ponta Delgada. The victim was promptly rescued by an individual who was at the scene and the Volunteer Firefighters of São Vicente and Porto Moniz who, together with the Medical Team of Rapid Intervention, performed resuscitation maneuvers.
The rescue teams were able to revive him and the tourist was admitted alive to the Dr. Nélio Mendonça Hospital.
For the success of the rescue it was important for the early resuscitation performed by a man who was in the place. With the arrival of the EMIR medical team, the man was medicated in Advanced Life Support (SAV) and then monitored medically to the hospital.
