The graffiti on the pebbled stone in the access zone to the pier of Ponta do Sol, which intends to pay homage to Father João Caetano, will be eliminated.
The decision was approved this Thursday at the meeting of the City Council, with favorable votes from the CDS and the PS and abstention from the PSD.
The proposal, presented by the CDS councilor Sara Madalena, states that “the historical core of the village of Ponta do Sol is its true ‘ex-libris'” and that, “in recent years, public spaces have been largely occupied by demonstrations of urban art “with” generalised visual impact “.
In the concrete case of the demonstration to Father João Caetano, the councilor of the CDS says that “graffiti, in black, austere, disproportionate and completely inadequate shades, overlooking the beach, a zone of excellence of leisure” collected “negative opinions”. its removal will be done before summer.
