The Madeira Botanical Garden Eng. Rui Vieira will celebrate tomorrow, April 30, 59 years of life with a diverse program of activities, which include visits to the Herbarium Padre Manuel Nóbrega and the Bank of Seeds, intended for the general population .
The School of Happiness joins this anniversary and provides a yoga class in the morning, integrating a group of senior adults from the Community Center of Funchal, but open to all visitors who want to join the initiative.
In the afternoon, at 3 o’clock, it will be the turn of the storyteller, Sofia Maul, to tell stories to a group of students from the 1st cycle school Ribeiro Domingos Dias.
During the official visit, starting at 12 noon, Susana Prada, Regional Secretary for the Environment and Natural Resources, will visit the Museum of Natural History, where the collections were reorganised in different rooms, with an exhibition of fossils and stones from Madeira.
Afterwards, we will visit the Garden, to observe the new information panels and the new banks, which are scattered throughout the space.
The visits to the Botanical Garden of Madeira, Eng. Rui Vieira, will be free for the day.
