The C130 aircraft of the Portuguese Air Force is on its way to Madeira, where it will land at 11 am at the Cristiano Ronaldo International Airport to carry out the second flight of the last eleven corpses of the Caniço accident that killed 29 German tourists. The departure for Germany is scheduled for an hour and a half later. If everything goes as expected, the aircraft will take off at 12:30 p.m., the Air Force said through Lieutenant Colonel Manuel Costa.
Yesterday at 8 o’clock in the morning the first part of the operation took place, with the C130 carrying the first 18 bodies to Frankfurt. This second voyage concludes the proceedings concerning the Caniço accident.
