The Institute of Forests and Nature Conservation is preparing to open new recommended walking routes in Madeira.

In the area of ​​Rabaçal will be 39 kilometers of new routes.

In Queimadas, in Santana, new routes are also being studied. 

Manuel Filipe, president of the institute, explained to Antena 1 that this extension of the route network is a way of dealing with the growing demand.
