The Regional Secretary for Tourism and Culture has just presented a “renewed and enriched” Atlantic Festival.
The presentation took place in Espaço Infoart, Avenida Arriaga, where Paula Cabaço highlighted the novelty of performing a pyromusical show in Porto Santo.
Another novelty is the Nautical Festival scheduled for June 22.
Pyromusical shows take place on Saturdays at Pontinha waterfront, in Funchal.
The 8th is in charge of Italy, the 15th is the responsibility of Poland and the 22nd of Mexico, as always the last show on the 29th will be Portugal. Also 30th June , a show takes place in Porto Santo.
In terms of the occupancy rate, for the first weekend, it is expected to be around 87%, two percentage points below that of the same period in the last year.
The investment for the Atlantic Festival and Festival Roots of the Atlantic, which is also part of the program, totals 500 thousand euros.
The Atlantic Festival also includes the 16th Century Market, scheduled for 7th 8th and 9th June in Machico.
Regarding the turbulence at the level of some markets and bankruptcy of several airlines, Paula Cabaço is confident in the product that the Region has and promises the continuity of the work to reinforce the attractiveness of the destination.
