The maximum temperature today reaches 29ºC in Ponta do Sol, at 28ºC in Funchal.
The Portuguese Institute of Sea and Atmosphere has placed all of Madeira and Porto Santo under yellow warning due to hot weather, a weather warning that came into effect this morning and remains until 21 hours tomorrow, this Friday with the thermometers in Funchal reaching 28ºC. The hottest place will be Lugar de Baixo, which will reach 29ºC.
In the Region it will be a day of mostly cloudy skies, gradually decreasing cloudiness from late morning and showers, especially in the northern and highlands and into the early afternoon. Count on light to moderate wind from the Northeast, and sometimes strong, up to 40 km / h, in the highlands and the extreme east and west of Madeira.
In Funchal the scenery is slightly better, with periods of overcast skies, gradually decreasing cloudiness from late morning and the possibility of light showers until early afternoon. The wind will be a light breeze, less than 15 km / h.
In Porto Santo the thermometers will mark 26ºC in the hottest part of the day, the same value in Câmara de Lobos, Machico, Santa Cruz and São Vicente.Caniçal will have one degree less at maximum temperature, as will Porto Moniz and Santana. Ponta do Pargo reaches 27ºC.
Today is Madeira which has an ultraviolet index of 9 and Porto Santo of 10, both very high values on the scale of 1 to 11+.
The Eastern side has the cloud back again after a few days of great weather, from Santa Cruz heading east a lot of cloud and light rain from time to time.
