Achada do Teixeira’s old shelter has been restored and will open to the public in late August with a new name and concept.
In the highest peaks of the island of Madeira is now born the “Abrigo da Heidi”, new name for the old shelter of Achada do Teixeira. The refurbishment includes a restaurant area and a kind of local accommodation where tourists and visitors can stay up to a maximum of eight people. Investors expect in the future to expand capacity to 16 people. Heidi Shelter will be in testing next weekend and the official opening is scheduled for August 24th, on the eve of its opening to the public.
