Despite the yellow warning for precipitation on the island of Madeira, as of the early hours of this Sunday, October 27th, there is not a single drop in every weather station at IPMA which continues to point to periods of overcast skies, can sometimes be strong and accompanied by thunderstorm.
According to Victor Prior, IPMA regional delegate in Madeira, the situation has been very unpleasant since yesterday morning, when the information pointed to rain reaching ‘yellow’.
“The situation has evolved very quickly and will have to do with the great instability that exists throughout the North Atlantic. The formation of the tropical storm Pablo, the intensification of the high pressure field and the latitude of Madeira have somehow blocked the passage of frontal disturbances ”, says Victor Prior, adding that due to the unstable situation, the warning will continue until 18h.
Still no rain in Caniço de Baixo, bug I think some areas have had a little rain, especially at higher levels and the far Eastern side.
