The restaurant ‘Terreiro’ was inaugurated yesterday by the President of the Regional Government, Miguel Albuquerque, at a time attended by various members of the Madeiran Executive and Funchal City Hall.
The new Gastrobar and restaurant space, located at 107 Imperatriz D. Amélia Street, is only officially open today and has menus signed by chef Alexandre Henriques and mixologist Zózimo Castro.
Terreiro has created 35 jobs and is the result of an investment of two million euros, being the same shareholder of Savoy Palace, businessman Avelino Farinha. It is within the space of this hotel, but will function completely independently of the Savoy Group.
The premise is to recover good Portuguese food at ‘friendly’ prices, with the restaurant opening from Monday to Saturday from 6 pm to midnight. The restaurant will change the menu three times a year, adapting it to seasonal products, and will only work on reservations, which can be made by email [email protected] .
The Gastrobar will be open from Sunday to Thursday, from 3 pm to midnight, and Friday, Saturday and holiday eve, from 3 pm to 2 am.
