The whole Region has been on yellow alert since 6:48 this morning due to the persistence of high maximum temperature values.
The alert due to the hot weather is up till 9pm today. A slight rise in the maximum temperature will be recorded, which will be 26ºC, while the minimum temperature will be 21ºC in both Madeira and Porto Santo.
The IPMA forecasts for Madeira this Friday, to a day with the sky cloudy by high clouds. Wind will generally be light (less than 20 km / h) from the east quadrant, turning to the north quadrant in the afternoon, blowing moderate to strong (20 to 40 km / h) in the highlands until late morning.
In Funchal, the sky will also be cloudy with high clouds and the wind will be light (less than 15 km / h).
As for the state of the sea on the north coast, the waves will be northwest from 1.5 to 2 meters, gradually decreasing to 1 to 1.5 meters. On the south coast, the waves will be 1 to 1.5 meters southwest.
According to meteorologists Patrícia Marques and Paula Leitão, the seawater temperature will be around 23 degrees.
