Sun and rain. This is the expected combination for today, with mostly cloudy skies, open in the southern slopes of Madeira and periods of rain or light showers, especially in the northern and highlands and in the morning.
The wind will be moderate from the northeast, blowing moderate to strong (30 to 50 km / h) in the highlands and east and west ends of the island of Madeira, sometimes gusting up to 70 km / h, announces the IPMA.
As for Funchal, count on generally cloudy skies and light wind. Today the thermometers rise to 25ºC. The maximum is around 22ºC in Porto Santo. The minimums are both 19ºC.
In the remaining locations, Câmara de Lobos with 25ºC maximum, 19ºC minimum as well. Caniçal is now between 19ºC and 22ºC; Machico, Santa Cruz and Porto Moniz between 19ºC and 23ºC. Outside are Ponta do Pargo, with 17ºC-22ºC; and São Vicente and Santana with 17ºC-21ºC.
After today the weather will start to get a little cooler, and a lot more unsettled. Frequent showers and sunny spells look set for the next week or so.
