As part of the instructional trip of the students of the Submarine Instruction Center, the NRP Tridente made a stop last Saturday in Ponta Delgada, Azores.

The NRP Trident was built at the German Howaldtswerke-Deutsche Werft shipyards in Kiel and was lived this morning by a group of Madeira entities.

The low acoustic, electromagnetic and thermal signature makes it one of the world’s most hidden conventional submarines, undetectable without surface means, equipped with state-of-the-art complex sensors with trained operators under favorable environmental conditions. 
Since its increase in force in 2010, it has been carrying out various surveillance missions of the maritime area of ​​national interest and participated in several national, international, European Union and NATO exercises.
