I’ve just completed an interesting survey of 700+ Portugalist readers: almost half of those who had been planning to visit Portugal would still do so if travel restrictions were lifted. The majority plan to visit in the autumn or winter, which suggests a slightly different tourism season.
There are also some stats related to cruises, which may be of particular interest to Madeira Island News.
This is quite timely as the Portuguese government is currently deciding how and when to re-open for tourism this year. It also gives anyone in the tourism industry some interesting insights into how people might travel differently this year.
