Two educational establishments in Funchal, two in Câmara de Lobos and one in Ponta do Sol found themselves facing positive cases of covid-19 today.
Following a positive test, two EBS Ponta do Sol employees are in confinement.
In Câmara de Lobos, an EBS student Dr. Luís Maurílio da Silva Dantas (Carmo) tested positive and placed a class of 19 students in a non-face-to-face class, until otherwise indicated by the health authorities. At EB23 da Torre, a student also tested positive as a result of contact with a person outside the school, with the class of 15 students being in a classroom-based regime, also until otherwise indicated by the health authorities.
In Funchal, a student from Colégio de Santa Teresinha tested positive, but, as informed by the Regional Education Secretariat, the student in question has not been attending school since 17 November. However, a class of 25 students and a teacher are on a non-face-to-face basis, unless otherwise indicated by the health authorities. At EB1 / PE da Pena, a student also maintained close contact with a positive case, outside the school community. Then, as indicated by the health authorities, a class of 20 students, four teachers and three employees are in confinement.
