The work ‘Contingency COVID19 – Emergency Interventions 3: Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça – COVID19 Internment Unit’ was awarded to AFAVIAS – Engenharia e Construções, SA, for the contract price of 999,994.24 € (nine hundred and ninety-nine thousand , nine hundred and ninety-four euros and twenty-four cents) and for an execution period of 70 days.
According to the text of the resolutions of the weekly meeting of the Regional Government, “this undertaking is necessary, given the exceptional reality of public emergency, caused by the SARS CoV-2 virus, originating from the disease COVID19, and considering the worsening of the referred pandemic crisis and, consequently, the increase in the number of cases in the RAM, which requires that adequate facilities to combat them are quickly created, under pain of creating constraints in the hospital assistance of the only public hospital in the Region, which provides assistance to COVID and non- COVID “.
