If anyone needs to have a Covid Test before they return to their country, you can book an appointment on the details below.

The cost of a PCR test is €125,00 (one hundred, twenty-five euros).
The system is drive through so you stay in your car, but you must have an appointment.

  3. I can recommend the hospital, I did the PCR test on 01.01. 11am, before my return to Germany on 02.01. and already received a negative result at 22pm on the same day, very fast!

  4. Does anyone know, if it’s possible to make an (antigen) rapid test on Madeira, that is faster and cheaper? I need it to show at my accomodation on Canaries.

  5. It was a free test on arrival to encourage tourism ? Why is this charge to leave the island now ?
    People hurry if you plan to leave soon there will be no flights to or from the island all will be grounded

    You say you read every comment, so please please, read this! I’ve been reading on your blog about the covid testing at Hospital Particular, which is available from Monday to Friday, either between 8 & 9am or between 2 & 3pm, but no testing over the weekend. It’s great to know that travellers have the facility on the island to go and get a test. But, and it’s a very big BUT, for UK travellers, there is a real problem with it. Most flights to and from the UK to Madeira arrive and depart on a Monday. The UK airports want to see a negative test result, taken within 72 hours of the passenger’s flight arrival time back in the UK. Failure to work to this strict window of time, means quarantine back in the UK. Even if you took a test at Hospital Particular on a Friday afternoon, by the time a passenger arrives on UK soil, it will be MORE than 72 hours from when the test was taken, as most flights don’t arrive back in the UK until the evening! Even if it was possible to take a test on a Monday morning at Hospital Particular, it’s 50/50 whether the result would be available by the time the passenger’s flight arrives back in the UK. Also, the passenger may be forced to pay for this test, as the airline may demand it, or they might not allow you to board the flight in the first place. Imagine paying for a test (not cheap), so you’re allowed to fly home, but because your test was carried out more than 72 hours from your then landing time, the UK telling you at the other end that you now have to quarantine!! Can you bring this to someone’s attention, Tobi? This rule will DESTROY the island’s chances of recovering their British tourist industry, at a time when many businesses are on their knees. Unless, there’s somewhere else on the island that offers testing on a Saturday? Do you know of any other medical facility that is open for covid testing on a Saturday? Failure to offer this is a serious blow to British travellers. CAN YOU HELP, TOBI??
