The road connecting the Estreito da Calheta to Jardim do Mar reopened this afternoon to car traffic, since the 223 Paul do Mar / Fajã da Ovelha regional road is under observation due to the successive fall of landslides in the last days.
The regional secretary for Equipment and Infrastructures, confirm the information that the Parish Council has already passed on to customers, explaining that, in the face of the “persistent fall of stones from the hillside, we will proceed to an inspection and cleaning with the team the Regional Directorate for Roads ”.
For now, the official says he does not know how long it will take to clean the slopes, however he estimates that it will not take many days for the operation to be completed.
